Brisee, a 27-year-old Walden resident, stole a 2011 Nissan Altima from the impound yard of P and P Auto in New Windsor, according to state police. The vehicle had previously belonged to him, according to state police.

Brisee was arraigned in the Town of New Windsor Court and remanded to the Orange County Jail on $2,000 cash bail.

Brisee dropped out of the race in October, saying his lack of social skills made it hard for him to compete. Brisee said he is on the autism spectrum.

This is not Brisee's first brush with the law. In October, Brisee was charged with grand larceny for allegedly stealing $1,500 worth of men's clothing and household goods from Kohl's in Newburgh. He has also been previously arrested for criminal trespassing and driving while intoxicated.
