"The store was good prior to the renovations, but we've already seen tremendous success," Warwick Store Director Charlie Sladek told Daily Voice.

Following the one-year renovation, ShopRite will hold a grand reopening on Saturday, Oct. 7, at 10 a.m.

In addition to the renovated facade, the store now boasts an 11,000-square-foot addition.

Because of the added space, every single department was able to expand — with a focus on organic and gluten-free products, Sladek said.

The extensive prepared foods department — conveniently located next to the new cafe — includes a hot Asian food bar, sandwich bar and more.

On Oct. 19, the store will install self-checkout booths. Other features at the store include mobile scan, which allows customers to scan items from their phones as they shop; ShopRite from home, allowing customers to pre-order groceries and fulfill orders from home; a local beef program in the meat department expanded produce; and a fresh floral section.
