In September 1887, the Henneberg Brothers opened a company at  that bottled and distributed the acclaimed Ehret's Lager out of Hell's Kitchen. The company also manufactured seltzers and sodas, according to Port Jervis Mayor Kelly Decker.

Now, 130 years later,  David Krantz and Sean Donnelly opened Fox N Hare Brewery Company. The brewpub will offer beer, wine, mixed drinks, and pub food. The brewery held a soft opening on Sept. 23 during the Fall Foliage Festival.

Decker thanked Krantz and Donnelly for "taking a chance on our city as well as putting your hearts and souls into the building and your new business.

"On behalf of the citizens of the City of Port Jervis, we wish you all the best and welcome to our city."
